A natural stilbite crystal cluster accented by vibrant red hematite, creating a striking contrast between delicate cream-colored crystals and rich iron mineralization.
Stilbite is a member of the zeolite mineral group and forms inside gas cavities within volcanic rock. As mineral-rich groundwater slowly fills these spaces, intergrown crystal clusters develop over thousands of years. This specimen was later naturally coated with iron-rich minerals, producing the warm red coloration created by hematite.
The result is a beautifully textured display piece featuring dense clusters of pearly stilbite crystals highlighted with vivid red hematite. A natural opening through the center adds depth and allows light to pass through portions of the specimen, making it visually interesting from multiple viewing angles.
The combination of soft crystal luster and contrasting mineral color makes this an especially eye-catching collector specimen.
An excellent addition to a mineral collection, curiosity cabinet, office display, or natural history collection.
