Carefully positioned beneath the glass, the butterfly is preserved in lifelike detail, with its patterned wings displayed against a layered woodland-inspired backdrop. The reverse side reveals the butterfly’s warm red underside. Three additional small beetle specimens are tucked throughout the scene, encouraging closer inspection and rewarding slow looking. Sealed closed, this piece is meant to be admired as finished artwork.
