A striking Rainbow Moonstone slab with dramatic black mineral inclusions and flashes of electric blue that appear across the surface as the specimen catches the light.
Measuring approximately 4.9" x 4.6", this substantial slab features a high-contrast matrix of pearly white and translucent feldspar interspersed with abundant black inclusions. Throughout the piece, individual areas of feldspar produce vivid blue adularescence, shifting from nearly invisible to brilliant blue as the viewing angle changes.
The contrast is especially beautiful on this specimen: icy white feldspar, scattered blue flash, and irregular black mineral formations give the slab an almost monochromatic appearance until the color suddenly lights up.
Both sides display visible flash, with some areas producing larger patches of blue and others revealing smaller flashes throughout the matrix. Because the optical effect is highly dependent on angle and lighting, the accompanying video provides the best representation of the specimen's movement and color.

Rainbow Moonstone is a trade name commonly used for white labradorite, a feldspar prized for the colorful optical phenomenon visible when light interacts with its internal structure. Despite the name, it is mineralogically a variety of labradorite rather than true moonstone.
As a natural mineral specimen, this slab may contain fractures, pits, inclusions, uneven edges, and other naturally occurring characteristics, all of which are part of the individual piece and can be seen in the photographs.
