A one-of-a-kind cabinet collection bringing together eleven specimens from across the natural world, fossils, minerals, marine life, entomology, botany, and other natural curiosities selected to complement one another as a cohesive display.
Unlike Flora & Bone's repeatable collections, this collection was assembled individually and is entirely unique. The specimens pictured are the exact specimens you will receive.
At the center of the collection is a large Florida sea biscuit, preserving the intricate five-petaled pattern characteristic of these relatives of sand dollars and sea urchins. Alongside it is a polished cow horn measuring approximately 5.6 inches, bringing a dramatic organic silhouette and contrasting dark finish to the collection.
The fossil specimens span several very different forms of ancient life. A 4.3 × 4.6-inch slab of petrified wood preserves the internal structure and rich brown, amber, and cream coloration of ancient plant material replaced by minerals over geological time. A Bone Valley lemon shark tooth represents Florida's fossil-rich marine deposits, while a small fossil mammal jaw fragment and fossil fish vertebra preserve portions of ancient vertebrate anatomy. A fragment of glyptodont osteoderm, or scute, represents one of the large, heavily armored mammals that once inhabited the Americas.
Mineralogy is represented by two dramatically different specimens. A polished piece of agatized fossil coral displays beautiful blue-gray agate banding within the original coral structure, while a natural pink tourmaline specimen provides crystalline color and texture.
A dried dragon egg pod from the tropical uxi tree (Endopleura uchi) adds a botanical specimen to the collection. Its overlapping woody scales give the pod its distinctive armored appearance and popular collector name.
Completing the collection is a preserved false-eyed jewel beetle (Lampropepla rothschildi), selected for its remarkable coloration and unusual false-eye markings. The beetle is pinned on a cork base beneath a removable clear glass dome for display and protection.

One of a Kind
This is a one-of-a-kind collection. The photographs show the exact specimens you will receive. Once sold, this particular collection will not be recreated.
Natural specimens may exhibit irregularities, weathering, fractures, mineral staining, asymmetry, or other characteristics resulting from their formation, preservation, age, and natural history. These features are part of the individual character of each specimen rather than standardized manufactured imperfections.
