A substantial Ocean Jasper slab featuring deep forest and blue-green coloration, golden yellow veining, orbicular formations, and dramatic natural cavities.

Measuring approximately 7" x 6" and weighing 1,069 grams (2.36 lbs), this is a large, weighty display specimen with an unusually organic composition. Much of the surface is covered in dark green orbicular and radiating formations, punctuated by cream and white "flowers" and contrasting areas of rich mustard-gold jasper.

Natural openings run through portions of the slab, including a long central cavity and several smaller pockets. These open areas expose the rough interior matrix and create striking negative space through the specimen. The perimeter has been left largely natural, preserving the irregular shape and giving the piece the character of a cut geological specimen rather than a manufactured freeform.

The polished face reveals considerable variation across the stone, from densely packed orbicular structures and translucent blue-green areas to feathery formations and sweeping golden veins. It is an especially interesting piece for a mineral cabinet or natural history display, with new details appearing throughout the surface at close range.

Ocean Jasper is a highly collectible orbicular jasper from Madagascar, known for its distinctive circular, radiating, and flower-like formations. Its patterns formed through complex silicification and mineral deposition within volcanic rock, producing tremendous variation in color, structure, and pattern from one specimen to another.

This is a natural stone specimen and contains open cavities, fractures, pits, rough matrix, irregular edges, and other natural features, all of which are visible in the photographs and form part of the specimen's character.
