A tiny but exceptionally colorful Malawi agate specimen featuring crisp fortification banding in fiery shades of orange, red, yellow, pink, and more.
Measuring approximately .9", this little specimen packs remarkable detail into less than an inch. Concentric bands form a sharply defined geometric pattern around a small crystalline center, while the lower portion retains contrasting natural matrix. The combination gives the piece a wonderful balance between its highly patterned agate interior and rugged natural formation.
The polished face brings out the saturated coloration and fine individual layers, particularly the brilliant orange and yellow bands that seem to glow in direct light.
The agate comes with the labeled acrylic display stand pictured and is secured using removable, non-damaging museum putty.
