A one-of-a-kind curated natural history collection bringing together Ice Age fossils, modern zoological specimens, minerals, and geological material. Ten individually selected pieces create a varied cabinet-style collection spanning millions of years of natural history.
 
A polished Columbian mammoth tooth fragment preserves the distinctive enamel plates of this massive Pleistocene herbivore. One face has been polished to reveal the internal structure and contrasting bands of enamel and dentin. It is joined by a fossil horse (Equus) tooth, another remnant of the large mammals that once inhabited prehistoric North America.
 
The collection also includes a substantial fossil tooth from Carcharodon hastalis, commonly known as the lesser white shark. Its broad triangular crown and robust root make it an impressive example of a prehistoric predatory shark tooth.
 
Two modern zoological specimens add another dimension to the collection. A muskrat skull top displays the characteristic orange incisors of this semiaquatic rodent, while a horseshoe crab molt preserves the unmistakable armored form of this ancient lineage. A glass vial contains two moth cocoons, offering a delicate contrast to the larger specimens.
 
A rattlesnake rattle is mounted upright on a cork base beneath a removable glass dome. The dome can be carefully lifted to access the specimen, allowing the mounted rattle to be gently shaken and heard as well as displayed.
 
Mineral and geological specimens round out the collection. A large polished labradorite freeform produces exceptional blue, teal, and green flash when turned into the light. A polished slice of petrified wood reveals preserved internal patterns created as the original plant material was gradually replaced by minerals.
 
Finally, a piece of agatized coral collected from Florida's Withlacoochee River preserves the structure of ancient coral replaced by silica over geological time, bridging the collection's fossil and mineral components.
 
Together, these ten specimens create a diverse natural history collection encompassing fossil mammals, prehistoric marine life, modern zoology, mineralization, and geological preservation.
