Campo del Cielo meteorites are fragments of an iron-rich asteroid that fell to Earth approximately 4,000–5,000 years ago, scattering meteorites across a large impact field in what is now northern Argentina. The Campo del Cielo strewn field is one of the largest known meteorite fields in the world, and its meteorites have been known to Indigenous peoples for centuries and documented by Europeans since the 1500s.
 
Composed primarily of iron with nickel and other trace elements, these dense metallic fragments originated within the differentiated interior of an asteroid before eventually reaching Earth. Individual Campo del Cielo specimens are naturally irregular, with sculpted surfaces, pits, ridges, and other textures produced by their formation and terrestrial history.
 
Each meteorite is individually shaped and will vary somewhat in size, form, surface texture, and coloration. The photographs show examples of the specimens available; you will receive one comparable Campo del Cielo meteorite weighing between approximately 10 and 15 grams.
The specimen comes in a clear protective display case with foam and includes a Flora & Bone certificate of authenticity.
