A natural agatized fossil coral fragment featuring a cavity lined with rich botryoidal chalcedony and beautifully preserved coral structure.

Over millions of years, silica-rich groundwater gradually replaced the original coral skeleton with agate while preserving much of its intricate texture. This process transformed an ancient marine organism into stone, creating a specimen that bridges paleontology and mineralogy.

The interior of this specimen is filled with glossy botryoidal chalcedony in warm shades of reddish-brown, caramel, gray, and cream. The rounded "grape-like" formations create exceptional texture and contrast beautifully with the weathered exterior, where remnants of the original coral structure remain visible.

Unlike polished agatized coral, this specimen has been left in its natural state, preserving both the fossil's original character and the mineralization that occurred over millions of years.
